Best For You is a new project that exists to help you. Visit www.bestforyou.org.uk to find information and support, including:

·                 Helpful websites and apps that have been reviewed to make sure they’re safe and accurate

·                 Clear information about mental health conditions and local mental health services

·                 Peer-to-peer support and advice

·                 Crisis information, including a free, confidential, 24/7 text support service. Text NATTER to 85258 to message a trained volunteer.

Creative Writing Telephone Group

31st March 2022 from 11am – 12pm

In this group, run by volunteer Timna on Thursdays from 11am-12pm, you will produce your own writing, inspired by poems, songs and short stories. There will be group discussions as well as time for solo writing, all of which will help you discover in a fun and relaxed way the different tools that writers use to express themselves.

What: This online class is taught by our volunteer Siaron who is a dance teacher with over 25 years’ experience teaching people of all ages. Zumba is a fun workout experience that keeps you excited to exercise!

Mindfulness (Online) Event

What: A fantastic free weekly online mindfulness group for carers being delivered by fully-trained volunteer Kate! 
Mindfulness is a great way to relax the body and mind and reduce stress. It can be easy to rush through life without stopping to notice much. Paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing.
When: Fridays from 11am-12pm.

What: Following the great success of the first set of sessions, we have a fantastic ongoing opportunity for Westminster carers to join a free art class that will be run by local carer Yasmin. These classes are part of our Carers Connected project.

Come to a new informal monthly coffee morning for Westminster carers!
Chat with fellow carers over a warm drink. You will be able to have up to two free drinks. 
Members of the Carers Network team will attend.
Just look for the Carers Network sign on one of the tables in Wash House Cafe at the Abbey Centre and join us there!
No need to register in advance.
Slow Flow Yoga (Online) Event
Slow Flow Yoga (Online)
8th April 2022 from 2pm – 3pm

Slow Flow Yoga is taught by our volunteer Abi. This group will now meet each Friday from 2pm-3pm.The slow and calm nature of this class is a world away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, instilling a sense of calm and tranquillity.
